The Sitting Room

The Sitting Room is a collection of personal work motivated by my interest in the connection between art, identity and consciousness. These are works reflect an ongoing journey of identity and creating narratives, while embracing a magnetism towards the ambiguous and indefinable. I attempt to convey the loss and recreative process of expression, an experimenting with openness and curiosity to discover and reassemble found parts of a whole. In these works, I aim to utilize my minds natural tendencies towards abstraction, subconscious connection and patterning for the exploration of the inner life. I hope to guide myself into a state of expression with visual art and writing. These paintings are created and fabricated onto chairs, for everyday use including meditating, and traveling inward.
