Lima Vessels

These vessels are inspired by the shapes and colors of Lima - the facades, the geometry, the shifting textures of the mountains and earth. Each piece is hand-built, carved and painted, moving between architecture and landscape, ancestry and imagination. Their carvings are inspired by Incan geometry, modern architectural shapes and echoes of ancient ceramics, yet carry a modern sensibility. Made through repetition and experimentation, the forms become a language of their own- between lineage and the present.

I think of them as vessels in the larger sense: forms that hold. The liquid inside becomes a metaphor for inner life, for the soul, drawn from a source larger than any one of us. Each piece holds its own presence, distinct in its colors, architecture and unique imperfections, yet each is a variation of the same origin. and a reminder that what moves through us is shared. These pieces are made for small rituals of healing and nourishment; for water, tea, or anything you take in with intention, as a way of tending the self and the soul within the vessel.
